Power Supply Unit

Power Supply Unit

The power supply unit or PSU, is the computer equipment necessary to supply a PC with electric current. The power supply is responsible for converting the mains voltage into different DC voltages (Very Low Voltage), compatible with the electronic circuits of the computer.

The power supply provides power to all components of the computer. The power supply must have sufficient power to power the various peripherals of the latter.
It converts the 230 V AC voltage into various DC voltages used by the motherboard and peripheral devices (hard disk, CD players, USB ...).
